In her own words

"Good evening, friend. You are new here, I see. Well, San Antonio is one of the more beautiful cities that I have resided in during my Requiem - one of many. There is little help that I can offer you, but should you require any information on occult or supernatural topics, I am probably the person you want. Naturally, it will cost you, and I might inform you that Kindred around here pay very well for very little. There is a lot of political tension in this city, but I care not for such tedious comings and goings. Any ruling party will suit my purposes just fine."

Known History

Arabella Velissia spent centuries travelling from city to city with her sire; originally being Embraced in Cadiz but since travelling to her mortal hometown of Siena in Italy, Copenhagen, London, Oporto, Cairo, New Orleans and Chicago, to name a few. On her travels she dedicated herself to the study of Cruac, and all things occult. She finally settled in San Antonio just before the turn of the 20th Century and helped establish a presence for the Circle of the Crone, eventually rising to the official rank of Hierophant.

Several years ago, following the arrival of her sister-in-blood Carmelita, Arabella attempted to move against the Circle's rival Covenant, the Lancea Sanctum. Using a proxy, named Guido, Arabella set up an illegal sire-and-abandon act, which sought to implicate the Sanctified as culprits. Unfortunately for Arabella, the plot was exposed, and although there was no proof linking her with Guido directly she chose to step down as Hierophant in order to preserve some of the Circle's reputation. The rank of Hierophant passed to Carmelita, and Arabella has taken this opportunity to develop her studies further.

Image

Arabella is one of the most beautiful Kindred in the city, though she never accentuates this. She favours dark, flowing black dresses when in public, and often wears simple robes in her Haven. Mortals often mistake her for a "Goth", which suits Arabella just fine.

A neonate's opinion

"It was a nasty business, that whole affair with Guido and that poor Burnham fellow. Seems Miss Velissia was heavily implicated in the plot; no solid proof of course but...well, there's no smoke without fire now is there? And you can't tell me she'd relinquish her role at the head of the Circle if she was innocent. I'm sure the only reason Lady Galen tolerates her continued presence is because of her use in all topics supernatural. Pah. Don't believe that welcoming, friendly facade either by the way. Velissia is as cold and cunning as they come and she'd have no problems turning you into little more than a glorified slave, so mind I told you so."
